Heat loss Calculations
for over glazed extensions
Extensions where the new glazing exceeds 25% of the total floor area of the extension. Building Control will require a SAP Calculation to demonstrate compliance
Residential Conversion, Barn Conversion ,Change of Use
A SAP Calculation will be required to demonstrate compliance for a barn conversion, or a change of use from a commercial property to a residential dwelling, or from a single dwelling into flats.
SAP Calculations
Design & As Built
Residential
The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is the methodology used by the government to assess and compare the energy and environmental performance of dwellings which will ensure compliance with Part L
SBEM Calculations
Design & As Built
SBEM calculates the emissions of a building based on its size, orientation, geometry, construction and HVAC to demonstrate compliance with Part L
U Value Calculations
A U-Value calculation is a computer-based assessment that measures the total thermal resistance of a structure. The unit of measurement for U-Values is given as W/m2K (Watts per square metre degree Kelvin);
Commercial EPC's
Energy Performance Certificate's (EPC) are required if you rent out or sell premises.
A building under construction is finished or if there are changes to the number of parts used for separate occupation

Psi-Value Calculations Thermal Bridging modeling
From the 15th June 2022 ,Building Regulations Part L 2021 and SAP 10 come into effect and one of the changes will be removal of the option to use Accredited Construction Details for the thermal bridging in a building
Thermal bridging is the movement of heat across an object that is more conductive than the materials around it. Thermal bridging can be a major source of energy loss

Residential Part O TM59 Overheating Assessments
From 15th June 2022 all new dwellings in England will require an overheating assessment .Building Regulation Part O is a legal requirement for developers to provide Building Control Bodies with evidence to show they have reduced the risk of overheating
